Christopher M. Anderson

Christopher M. Anderson

Anderson is the Executive Director of Male Survivor. As a survivor of sexual abuse, he speaks about how vital it is to provide hope, healing, and support to all survivors of abuse and trauma. Chris has created these presentations: “Ten Things Therapists Should Know About Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse,” “Ten Things Every Partner of a Male Survivor Needs to Know” and “Hope, Healing, and Support: The elements of recovery” to educate survivors about what it takes to come back from all forms of trauma and abuse. Chris was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show in Nov. 2010 that highlighted the truth of male sexual abuse. He is a graduate of St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD.

Marci Hamilton, Esq.

Marci Hamilton, Esq.

Marci Hamilton is a professor of law at Cardozo School of Law, and the author of Justice Denied: What America Must Do to Protect Its Children, which was just published in paperback with a new Preface. She also runs two active websites on issues she writes about frequently, www.sol-reform.com and www.RFRAfolly.com.

Tammy Lerner

Tammy Lerner

Tammy Lerner is a founding member and Vice President of the Foundation to Abolish Child Sex Abuse (FACSA). She is an incest survivor, and passionate advocate and lobbyist for changes in antiquated statutes of limitations laws that protect perpetrators. Her group was instrumental in the passage of a new law that extended the criminal statutes of limitations for child sex crimes, giving adult survivors until the age of 50 to press charges against their perpetrators. Tammy is an accomplished public speaker who delivers dynamic presentations focusing on the long term health and economic impact of childhood sexual abuse. She holds a BA from Columbia University.

Marita Lind, MD

Marita Lind, MD

Dr. Lind is a board certified child abuse pediatrician at the CARES Institute in Stratford, New Jersey. The center is the only dedicated diagnostic and treatment center for children with suspected maltreatment serving the seven southern counties of New Jersey. Dr. Lind treats children suffering from sexual abuse, physical abuse and medical neglect. She provides training to medical students, family practice and pediatric resident physicians. Dr. Lind is a graduate of La Salle University. She received her medical degree in 1992 from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2008, she received an honorary doctoral degree from LaSalle University.

Elizabeth Pitts, Esq.

Elizabeth Pitts, Esq.

Ms. Pitts is the Associate Director of Investigations for Swarthmore College. She was a Deputy District Attorney with the Chester County District Attorney’s Office for twenty years and supervised the County’s Child Abuse Unit for over a decade. Ms. Pitts has been a guest lecturer on child abuse and Megan’s Law related topics at various local universities. She is a faculty member of Pennsylvania Child First forensic interview training program which instructs police officers, social workers, and prosecutors in child interviewing techniques. Ms. Pitts has her JD from Widener University.

Dennis McAndrews, Esq.

Dennis McAndrews, Esq.

McAndrews is the founder and managing partner of McAndrews Law Offices, P.C., a seventeen-attorney law firm which handles cases involving abuse, including sexual abuse, of vulnerable persons, special education, and estate planning. McAndrews regularly speaks on abuse and bullying in schools and institutional settings, and identifying appropriate means to seek compensation and to prevent future abuse. He has handled many sexual abuse cases, first as a prosecutor for over 17 years, and subsequently in his private practice.

Joe McGettigan, Esq.

Joe McGettigan, Esq.

Before joining McAndrews law Offices, Joseph McGettigan spent over 20 years in criminal prosecution. As an Assistant District Attorney, McGettigan personally investigated and tried numerous child abuse cases. While Senior Deputy Attorney General, he was co-trial counsel in the trial of Jerry Sandusky. Sandusky was investigated, tried, and convicted for the abuse of young boys over a decades long period while he was a coach at the Pennsylvania State University and founder of an organization, the Second Mile, that purported to help at-risk young children. The conviction of 45 counts of abuse resulted in a 30 to 60 year sentence for the 69 year old Sandusky, who is now in a state prison. McGettigan devotes a significant portion of his time working with child victims and speaking about the issues involved.

Kristen Pfautz Woolley

Kristen Pfautz Woolley

Kristen Pfautz Woolley received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Virginia University and her Masters in Social Work from University of Maryland. She is a Licensed Pennsylvania Registered Nurse and a Licensed Pennsylvania Social Worker. She holds post graduate certificates in Addiction Studies from Penn State University and in Child Sexual Abuse Treatment from Widener University. She work experience as an Emergency Department Nurse and as a therapist providing individual, marital and family therapy. Kristen is also trained in Sand Tray Therapy through the Sand Tray Institute of New Mexico. Kristen is passionate about prevention, education and advocacy for survivors rights. She is a trained facilitator for the Darkness to Light Program and serves on the board of the York County Children’s Advocacy Center. As a survivor of child sexual abuse she has worked hard in her own personal healing journey to reframe her mindset from victim to survivor. Inspired by the freedom of releasing the burden of her pain Kristen founded Turning Point Women’s Counseling and Advocacy Center, a private not for profit 501(c)(3) outpatient counseling center located in York, PA which is dedicated to serving adult women survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
